Another very important and well attended event that was implemented this month was the Let’s Talk About…European Union debate in which we were honored to host the Ambassador of the European Union in North Macedonia, H.E. Samuel Zbogar. This was the sixth event of the series of debates known as Let’s Talk About… which are implemented by Democracy Lab – YCC in partnership with OYA. Ambassador’s Zbogar presence at the debate and his visit to the city were of huge significance to YCC and the community members in general, as we had the opportunity to meet him in person and were able to attend the discussion with him as a guest speaker.

Our country is aiming to become part of the European Union. But, what does it mean to be part of the such community? Why does every country want to be part of it? What criteria and standards should be met? What does that mean for our citizens? What about the youth? What are the challenges and opportunities? These are some of the topics and questions that were covered during the open discussion between the Ambassador and the participants which were moderated by Mr. Sefer Selimi.
