Having in mind that March marks the month of efforts for gender equality and that these efforts are focused on advancing the position of women in all spheres of society, we organized the fourth debate called “Let’s talk about…Women”. This time we invited Mrs. Blerita Mazllami – a long-time civil society activist, and two representatives from Gostivar’s Municipal Council – Mrs. Njomza Hasani – Shaqiri and Mrs. Sonja Damjanovska. The debate was moderated by Mr. Sefer Selimi and the guests together with the attendees discussed a variety of questions, some of them were: What is the position of a woman in the Municipality of Gostivar? What about the role of women in politics? Can women be women together for women? How can a woman’s position be advanced in the community? How do young people see gender equality? etc. The event was attended by an approximate number of 40 community members, with the majority of them understandably women.
