The Municipality of Gostivar organized a round table on awareness against violence against women.

The municipality of Gostivar in cooperation with the National Council for Gender Equality developed the "I will not be silent" campaign, which lasted from November 25 to December 10.

The conclusion of the campaign was rounded off on the 9th of December with the round table organized at the YCC Gostivar premises, while activists, journalists, and people from civil society were present.

The main aim of this campaign was to encourage victims and witnesses to report violence on the free SOS 141 700 mobile number without a prefix, which is available 24/7 and through which discretion is guaranteed.

In addition to denouncing violence, the aim of the campaign was to motivate people not to remain silent when violence against women occurs, regardless of whether they are victims or witnesses, to overcome the stigmatization and double victimization of victims, and to encourage debate about the prevention of violence against women.

After the end of the campaign, the free phoneline for reporting violence against women will be available and we encourage all victims and witnesses to report violence.
