On September 11, the Youth and Community Center  hosted its opening ceremony, inviting local members of the community and its donors to come together and celebrate the opening of a new space in Gostivar where the civil society can come together to promote a more tolerant, cohesive, and active society. During the event, the U.S. ambassador H.E. Jess Bailey, the mayor of the Municipality of Gostivar Mr. Arben Taravari and the executive director of Democracy Lab Sefer Selimi Jr. addressed the visitors by holding their speeches regarding the initial idea of having such center at our city and the process of establishing and turning it into reality. Furthermore, the members of the local CSOs had their presentations on their vision, ideas and future plans for the activities that they will implement at YCC and how they will utilize the place in the best possible manner.
