Youth and Community Center hosted a youth debate on “Youth in Sports”. Young participants heard inspiring words from well-known names of the sport from Municipality of Gostivar, who have reached great successes in their careers such as Mensur Jakupi, Former coach of the National football team of Macedonia U19; Kire Anastasovski, Coach of the women's basketball team “Gostivar 2009”; Fari Selmani, Coach of the handball team “Jehona”; Erxhan Menga, Former football player of the National team.

The panel was followed by a discussion with youth from the Municipality of Gostivar, where it was spoken about youth in sports, how important sport is for every person, especially for youth, and also the challenges that youth face within sports.

This event is part of the project "Strengthening the resilience of local communities to violent extremism in North Macedonia (Phase 2)", and is implemented by the Centre for Common Ground in cooperation with the Municipality of Gostivar, and funded by the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Skopje.
