Forty exhibition panels with details from the life of little Anne Frank and her family during World War II have been placed in the hall of the Gostivar Municipal High School. The exhibition, which opened today, is entitled "Anne Frank - History for Today", and its goal is for young people to learn about Anne's life path, to draw inspiration from the girl's unwavering and unbreakable spirit, and to encourage discussion about the events from the recent past in the Western Balkans that are the cause of divisions and conflicts.

The exhibition is organized by the Youth Educational Forum and the Anne Frank House from Amsterdam, and in Gostivar the local partner is the Youth and Community Center (YCC).

"This is a great opportunity for all high school students from different backgrounds to come together and learn something more about the recent past, above all to connect with the story of Anne Frank and what impact she has on society today. We can connect the life and work of Anne Frank with today's history, to conclude that history repeats itself, all those horrific things that happened in World War II, we can see that they are still manifesting today. This exhibition is precisely an incentive for improvement and peace in society," said Pande Eftimov from the Youth Educational Forum.
