A consultative panel discussion was held in Gostivar with the participation of the Minister of Local Self-Government Zlatko Perinski, representatives of the Ministry, and representatives of the Municipality of Gostivar. The discussion focused on proposed improvements to the Law on Local Self-Government, including mechanisms that would enable citizens to vote on the continuation of a mayor’s mandate before its expiration, as well as measures to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public oversight of municipal funds.
